- The end of the apps era is coming, the question is just when
 - Everyone is integrating AI into their apps but the best UX comes from AI across apps, and consistent interfaces
 - It’s like how books standardized over time. That’s what we want compute to do as well.
 - People are saying agents, not apps, but there’s work to be done to make that come true, and risks to entrenched businesses.
 - Unbunding will happen, it’ll be painful for some and an opportunity for others.
 - I can achieve so much more through plumbing together scripts.
 - That’s still annoying and I wish apps just exposed a consistent API
 - We already had a spec for this in REST
 - The problem is that it’s against business interests to be a replacable API
 - But over time being honest will win out
 - Posthog > Amplitude for example
 - You will still get data network effects of scale as a good business and actor
 - That can be enough now
